ABOUT US
We Opened Shop!
Welcome to SELA Bicycle Center!
SELA Bicycle Center is a community focused Bicycle Shop located in the City Of Bell, one of the many integral South East Los Angeles Gateway Cities.
You can trace our roots back to 2016 at the inception of Hollydale Cycling Club. What once started as a simple college project to promote healthier lifestyles through bicycles, has now evolved into fulfilling one of our goals of opening up bicycle shop in our community.
Our mission remains the same: To enrich South East Los Angeles communities through bicycle education, advocacy and bicycle infrastructure.
SELA Bicycle Center is a culmination of our Love for South East Los Angeles, Food, Culture and Bicycles. Join us, let's make South East Los Angeles Bicycle Friendly! #RideSELA"
SELA
The Gateway Cities Region, or Southeast Los Angeles County (also shortened to Southeast Los Angeles and Southeast LA), is an urbanized region located in southeastern Los Angeles County, California, between the City of Los Angeles proper, Orange County, and the Pacific Ocean.
The cluster of cities has been termed "Gateway Cities" in that they serve as a "gateway" between the LA and Orange counties. As such, the area is central to the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), and has a population of approximately 2,000,000 residents.
Southeast LA County comprises some of the most densely populated municipalities in the United States.[As with other regions of Los Angeles, Southeast LA's demographics are notable for ethnic and age diversity.
